Ask for Help

Human beings sometimes can be odd creatures! We are, by all accounts, a very advanced civilization and have a high degree of technology in most of our lives. 85% of Americans of all ages now have a Smartphone that contains more computing and processing power than the entire Saturn V Rocket that took men to the moon! However, with essentially endless information at our hands and nonstop targeted ads in our faces, we as humans are not that likely to ask another human for help. Why is that?

There used to be a time, in the U.S. at least, where you could help a stranger stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire, or give a hitch-hiker a short drive to the nearest city on your route without feeling much danger. Obviously, there were times when it was prudent not to do so in the past, but the general feeling today is that it is definitely not safe to do either for a stranger. This is a sad state of affairs that prevents us from connecting with others and offering a helping hand to someone in need.

At Blue Collar Budgets, I want you to know it is okay to ask for Help. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). Asking for Help requires you to admit to the fact that you do not carry the knowledge or skill for a given task. Asking for Help means that you must let go of your ego/pride and become humble. Asking for Help shows that you are willing to acknowledge your shortcomings, AND that you are willing to work to improve them! Asking for Help allows you to receive countless benefits and the ability to know how to Help others. I believe that we are all placed on Earth to Help one another in any way we can, and I know that my deficits can be covered by someone else’s skills and expertise.

I want you to know all you have to do is: Ask for Help. Do not be ashamed, embarrassed, or sorrowful, just Ask for Help. Reading blogs and listening to podcasts might feel relatable, but without personal dialogue and coaching you likely will not see any results. Ask for Help. There are millions of people and families in a situation similar to yours, and by Asking for Help, you can start the road to a better life. Why continue to have stress, anxiety, sleepless nights, poor physical health, poor mental health, and poor financial health? All you need to do is, Ask for Help.

Blue Collar Budgets will not turn away clients due to financial concerns. If my standard service fee is outside of your ability, send me an email at bluecollarbudgets@gmail.com and we can still work together! I want you to have the courage to step forward and Ask for Help! You will not be judged or criticized at Blue Collar Budgets, but you will have assignments that push you to review your finances to match them to your own stated goals. I work with churches and counselors who can provide additional support if needed. Ask for Help. Stating the words, “I need Help” seem like the tallest hurdle in the world, and I completely agree it can be very intimidating. However, just on the other side of those words, you will find the Help you deserve and need.

I started Blue Collar Budgets because I know there are millions of families, in the U.S. alone, that have poor financial security and are lost on their financial journey. I want to be there to help coach and guide you to reach your level of Financial Fitness. No two budgets are the same and I take the time and care needed to help you achieve your Financial Dreams! You do not have, because you do not ask – James 4:2
